hey, I’m from Cape Town South Africa and have been up to Malawi to help churches, it was awesome to be able to listen to some Chichewa songs again.
We have many Malawians here in our churches, and we are even doing the odd Chichewa song in worship, keep up the good work, great to see this website up and running, bringing awareness to the world of the needs, joys and opportunities in Africa.

Hello! I did some missions work in Malawi in the summer of 2007. I absolutely love the Chichewa worship songs. There is one that is slow and sort of meditative.. it goes like “ndi dakuta mandani mulungu wanga x2, chorus: ambuye mwacheta, mwachetaza ze coollunga moyowanga”. I am sorry if I messed up the spelling.. but anyway, this is the first place I have actually found Chichewen worship recorded. My heart longs to hear this song again, if you know of it, is there anyway you would be able to post it? Keep up the great work, Malawi is truly an amazing place.
I just got back from Malawi yesturday and these songs are a couple that we had been singing during the trip! It is so wonderful to hear these songs!! Thank you SOOO much for posting these! It has truly blessed my heart!
We went on a mission trip to Malawi in May. Thanks to your website we learned Palibe Wina Ofana Nanu as a group and sang in every village we went. We were so well receieved and all the villagers young and old joined in! There voices and dance were so uplifting. Would love to learn a simple Chichewen Christmas Carol to sing this December in there honor. Any suggestions where I could find one?

Greetings in name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Immanuel. We were in Malawi from 26 March till 15 April. What a blessed trip it was. They are so hungry for the word of God. We visited all the churches of Immanuel and in every rural area we went they were overwhelm with our presence. Malawi truly is a place that I will visit again or in future will stay.
